Default Cam Swap W/VVT Delete P0016 Code

Swapped my VVT cam to a non VVT 3 bolt boost cam. I swear i had it alligned "dot to dot" on the cam and crank gear but I have a P0016 code at start up which is related to the cam position sensor. Truck has a baseline tune in it and it starts right up and runs fine (seems normal). What i am wondering is:

1. Is this a result of being 1 tooth off on the cam to crank gear?

2. Possibly does it need to have a crank relearn performed to fix this as it has a Non VVT front cover and new cam position sensor?

One other thing, at TDC on #1 on compression stroke both intake and exhaust valves are fully closed, i checked this with the valve cover off today.

1.Doubtful if it runs right

2.Shouldn't-my guess is that it's not switched off correctly in the tune and that's why it views the correlation between the cam and crank sensor as being off. Are you using EFI Live?

Yes using EFI live, bbP is doing the tuning.

Here is some discussion of the P0016 code if anyone is having this same issue when doing the VVT delete.

Solved this issue, cam was 1 tooth off (retarded), checked pistons with inspection camera for signs of PTV impact, everything checks out ok. Truck makes less boost and seems to run better now.
