Transmission cross brace needs to be removed on the one side to slip the whole Y-pipe assembly out. Support the transmission from the bottom with a jack or something similar.

Remove the o2's after it's on the ground or before, doesnt really matter.

If you want to hack it up go ahead but I just assume leave the stock unit in one piece. Just in case you wish to keep it or try to sell it. It's 4 bolts to drop it, takes only minutes with a impact.

Hey man, how's the Camaro running? Still have it?

Not sure if your old exhaust seen any winter's but if so, you will have a tough time removing the three nuts off the stock y pipe to mainfolds. I wasn't looking to save the old y pipe when I did mine so cut the y pipe about 3" below the joint on both sides, then just unbolted the mainfolds. That was after two days of soaking those studs and nuts with penetrating spray to no avail.

Even with the hi-flow cats you will have to disable the codes for your rear o2 sensors once installed, unless you want to live with them.

What are you planning to run for muffler?

One other thing you will need, spark plug wire heat sheild sleeves. Wires end up being real close to a few header primaries.

Install went great as far as I can say.... no broken manifold bolts so that's always a plus.... the three bolts that hold the pipe to the manifold gave us some fits but a 3/8 ratchet and a cheater bar worked great... as far as dropping the crossmember I didn't bother and just cut it in places that could be easily welded back up.. as far as the headers go I didn't have to remove the steering shaft but I did remove the dipstick and the kooks y pipe clears the 6l80 with ease and I already have the dynomax ultraflo catback installed but from 1500-1900 I'm getting some serious drone so I'm gonna install a vibrant ultra quiet resonator just before the exhaust tip and see how that works
