Can the 4l60e be swapped out of the 2011 4.8 rcsb ? I would love a 6 speed

Sooo if I did this Id have to get my truck flashed with the VIN of a 2500 with the exact same options as mine... Why? For the radio to work? I have a Clarion radio, aaaand my truck is 1 of 1. I looked it up.

No to make the tu/td work. The radio will be locked out so you'd have to get it redone. I would think an aftermarket radio wouldnt matter but i cant verify that.


The whole reason for the vin you use to have the same options is so they truck isnt asking for navigation an you dont have it and blah blah.

We have to get mine into the 12s before we do a converter or tires

plus the radio is used for ecm/tcm/bcm gateway communication.

Picked up an 07 Vmax this weekend and I HATE the 70e. Its been so long since Ive driven a stock 60e much less stock tuning. This swap is up near the top of the to-do list.
