07-08 4L60e to 6L80e swap
#331
Also an update for anyone looking to run an OEM transmission mount. I just installed a 2wd 6.2/6L80e trans crossmember without issue.
It has a total of 5* downward slope (the flat part) for anyone who would like to build their own. I had to swap out my custom mount because i raised my truck back up. It was throwing off the pinion angles

oil sensor plug on the new harness
Attachment 142688
your oem oil sensor plug. do the same thing as you did with the fuel pump plug. its all the same colors. FYI this is the same Sensor i had on my 08 5.3 that i swapped to the 6.2 the newer oil sensor must just be different
Attachment 142689
Attachment 142690
this is the 12v relay plug on the new harness, my starter isnt like this. just depin it and cut the clip off as close to the end as you can
Attachment 142691
install a new eye crimp and shrink wrap it.
ALSO the MAP sensor on the new harness is different, i forgot to get a pic of it. i had an old harness from my 94 5.3 swap so i cut the MAP sensor pigtail off and cut the new harness back about 2". i then soldered the new pigtail in and shrink wrapped it then taped it up like it came from the factory. you can just go to the dealer/part store an buy the 09 MAP sensor to work with the harness if you are scared to cut it.
the new harness is installed, i moved the 12v lead from by the frame/LT area and ran it straight down under the motor mount for a straight shot to the starter (it has enough room)
i changed the rear seal, and installed the flexplate. im done for the day im tired. i only got 2hrs sleep today before i started running around chasing parts/working on this.
REPIN THE MAF SENSOR ALSO no pics of that, but its pretty simple. i burnt up 2 MAF sensors, AND crashed a ECM because of it.

My ecm was dead basically. It'd idle really rough but wouldn't log anything.
I put a new ecm for my year, then had the same year 6.2/6spd OS flashed into the new ecm. Tuned it as needed.
My maf it would idle rough, pop, basically be "dead" throttle. Swapped in an 09 MAF, boom truck drove, idled like it was suppose to. That's when i repinned the new maf pigtail to work with my old style MAF

any new update i am doing this also but i think i am in the same spot the ecm is out of a 2007 truck that used to be a 4.8 with a 4l60 but now its a 6.2 with a 6l80 just need it to start

my vortecmax would run with my original ecm (2007 6.0l e38) but lopes I would try your original ecm just to confirm it cranks at least then get a ecm to match your 6l80e tcm so if you have a 2009 6l80e go and get a 2009 e38 ecm and get the vats shut off by a tuner that should get you moving anyone else feel free to chime in this is all it took to get mine running and driving after I finished all the physical swap however I still have the 0606 code I suspect it’s the bcm OS conflicting with the ECM and TCM mines going to the dealer next week to get the bcm flashed and I’ll report back if it fixes my issue in case anyone else runs into the same issue

The BCM shouldn't matter, it doesn't really have anything to do with the P0606 code.
If that was the case no body could swap these engines in to old trucks like a C10 or OBs trucks.
Seems a somewhat common cause of the P0606 is if you change the engine/throttle body but kept the original 5.3 throttle settings.
