Niff, this is a great post. I have a 2008 Silverado CC I have been wanting to do this swap for a while now. Currently I have 5.3 AFM 4L60E. when I'm done it'll be a 6.2L stoked to 427ci. with a 6L90E. Just wanted to say thanks for all the leg work you've done. Great looking truck by the way. Have you found out anything in reguards to the PRNDM display and Trans Temp on the DIC?

as far as the DIC/gauge cluster no. i havent even tinkered with it yet. i have a feeling the BCM will have to be flashed with a newer truck. the problem with it really, is the 09+ gauge clusters are different than ours. Skipperdaddys electric part of his gauge cluster isnt like mine at all. my mirror has the direction/temp his gauge cluster has that in his. the rest is the same. he has blue tooth and digital a/c gauges, i dont. id have to find a truck that doesnt have any of that stuff and flash it into my bcm i think. ill do more digging later on after the truck is up and running. the truck using our shifter/gauge cluster when you put it into D like normal it will run through all the gears, it wont select the gear for you. i have a feeling if i swap to my manual shifter it wont do anything either. its all in the computer of the tcm thats probably controled by the BCM kinda like the Tow/Haul button will be through the BCM.

im going to get with John @ speartech for more info on it.

driveshaft is dropped off, and should be ready next week. then its time to start tuning it. i cant wait to get this thing done.
ALSO the shifter bracket is CRAP i could have made that thing at work BUT for 5.00 i cant complain lol

well i have to take the back half of my driveshaft to the shop too so it'll either be today if i get off early or tomorrow if they tell me take off. but more than likely Monday

gonna throw a beginner tune in the truck Saturday but cant crank it until i get the driveshaft back.

if you are going to run the stock 4spd shifter cable you have to modifiy the new bracket by 1/2" or it wont bolt in. pretty simple fix.
