o/r y-pipe vs.duals with x-pipe

I'm running pacesetters with the 3" o/r y-pipe. Wanting to change the sound and love the x-pipe sound with dynomaxs but don't wanna lose any performance for just sound. What do ya'll think? Will I lose any performance if I change? Thinking bout if I do it using 2.5" pipe and mufflers.

ive never been a fan of the dual x pipe set up. i know these motors love the Y into a 3/3.5" piping. the 2.5" duals with an X pipe just seems like you'll loose a lil low end but mid-high RPMs youll pick it back up. maybe someone thats ran a set up like this can tell you more.
the gas tanks are in the way for true duals an a custom X pipe unless you run it like it is now just side by side an X pipe it...but thats stupid IMO, just leave it how it is.

Well I saw where Jeg's makes a narrow x-pipe just for trucks that have to run duals all on the same side for like $74.00.

no problem man, just get that beast together, i personally found no use for an X pipe, maybe in sound but thats it sound doesnt make me go FAST

i was thinking the samething when i seen stew's sound clip and how it sounded, mine sounds like stock compared to his lol!! truck's having some suspension work done this week, i'll get a clip this weekend if all possible!!
