Default What it takes to compete

It seems more and more higher horsepower vehicles are out from the factory. What does it take for our older trucks to compete with the newer stuff out there? Example what if a ram 6.4 hemi pulls up next to you, is what you got enough? Of course I would say yes but I know I can't win them all.

Ah. I wouldn't say that couldn't compete, but youll have just as much money in that as you would just slapping on a blower and have worse driving manners afterward.

That's basically how my truck morphed into what it is. I had friends buying new hemi Rams, new F150s with either the ecoboost or five liter. I drove a 6.2 truck as well, it felt really strong for a crew cab 4WD. A stock 4.8 or 5.3 just wasn't going to cut it.

I am hoping what I have done is enough... although lately I find myself contemplating a set of cylinder heads and maybe swapping from 1.75" to 1.875" primary headers.
