IIRC, the AWD SUV's with the optional traction control received the BW t-case, and the non traction control AWD SUV's came with the NVG149. I want to say that the NVG149 was used until 2004 or 2005? Can't remember exactly...

Yeah, I've read this and thus I've been looking at 05 up sierra denalis (for crew cab) and SS's. My preference is for a truck, but admittedly the enclosed back of an SUV would be nice.

...other than the same mentioned gremlins, I don't complain much about mine. THe 149 fit like it was meant to be there and I have the best of both; SUV with a bed.

The ’01 & ’02 Yukon Denali, as well as the ’02 Cadillac Escalade used the NVG-149, after that they went to the BW unit.

Hmm. 03 up has much better interior...yet the yukons are much more prevalent than the sierras. My main thing is it must be clean excellent condition. Miles don't scare me that much.

Find a transfer case and swap them if and/or when you make the power to need and want it
