Default NEED HELP MAJOR PROBLEM my truck won't go over 40 MPH need to fix TONIGHT!

My 2007 silverado 5.3 auto truck crew cab is having a issue. Going down the highway all of a sudden all my warning lights came on. Traction contol, stab. etc. I know can't drive over 40 mph. It says conserving power mode and is shifting hard. It is a work truck and needs fixed before the morning It is thousands of miles from home. HELP

For some reason it has gone into limp mode. Could be several things. Try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes. Try it again.

Ok, what if that doesn't fix it?

Need to read the codes then proceed with diagnosis.

Usually it will get out of limp mode if you just shut it off for a few minutes. Could be a number of things. ABS sensor or TP sensor for start. Really need to find a local auto store that will scan it for ya and go from there.

If you undo the battery you will clear the codes. Did it not go back to normal after having the key off for a few minutes?

May not be it but check all the wires at the throttle body. These trucks have an issue with the wires breaking inside the insulation. Tug on each individual wire near the plug at the throttle body. If one is bad you should be able to pull the wire in half pretty easily. Then all you need to do is splice the wire back together if it's not too close to the connector. If it is you'll have to get a new connector from the dealer and splice them all.
