Default Mounting gun safe in truck...

I have 2004 tahoe and plan on getting this here soon:

My question is where would you mount it and how? I am thinking in the front of the tahoe on the floorboard inbetween the drivers and passengers side...(transmission tunnel?) what would be the better way to bolt it down? Up through the bottom or down from the inside? ( There should be some mounting holes on the bottom )

Maybe something like this?

Damn that's not a bad price they had on that.

It would be cheap insurance if you Concealed carry gun was expensive.

If you had the gunvault at least someone cold just smash your window and find your gun between the seats. It would be locked up if you weren't carrying it.

What happens when it runs out of battery? Is the key an override on the code?

Carlos,
dirtys gun is in the compartment in front of the shifter, lol.

I wonder if there is a mounting bracket for it. Have you contacted the dealer or manufacturer for it.

yea you can open it with the key if the keypad fails...or you can get the deluxe model that has an external wire you can hook up for constant power WITH an internal battery backup and low battery warning beep.
