Default Miss/jerk in OD

My 99 5.3 has developed a jerk or buck if I'm on the highway cruising and ease into the gas. It'll jerk until I give it enough gas to downshift. I've tried replicating the issue is 3rd but can't. It doesn't throw a check engine light. Where should I start?

Check for stored/history codes first! Then id probably start checking whether your converter is coming out of lockup or not...

Checked for codes and only had one ABS code, pump or motor fault. How would I go about diagnosing a bad converter?
