Default How to remove spare tire for 04 Denali?

Got a flat tire and removed the lugs with no problem, but I could not get the spare tire removed. Followed the directions and just could not get it to lower down. Also didn't work with the "secondary attachment". Any help would be appreciated.

I have never had a flat on my Denali *knock on wood* but I think all you got to do to lower them down is with the key unlock the lock on the bumper and use the lug wrench to lower it down? I have no idea as I have never had to do it, but the manual should show it?

It does show how. You use the ignition key to unlock the plate on the bumper, stick in the open end lug wrench and turn to loosen. But I could never feel a positive engagement click to drop it. Oh welll it fixed now.

You don't use the little flat end like you think you would. Use the square end I work at a local wal-mart tire and lube and had to have this showed to me also.
