My old 5.3 has about 140k on it. It's currently in my brother's Chevelle with ported heads and a big cam. Just had the rev-limiter raised to 7200 rpm, so we'll see how long it lasts...lol

104,000 cammed the last 7000 or so and still has the factory brakes with 33's and 18's

my rcsb never needed a brake change and it had over 100k. my 5.3 in my current truck has about 108k and runs fine.

A buddy of mine bought a 2004 chevy with a 5.3 from a women who hot shot for a living!
Truck had 404k & everything was original! The rearend had some slack but it still ran like a top!

My 2004 has 224K, motor and trans are the originals. The trans still has the factory fill in it. Runs good enough to turn 15.20s in the 1/4 on 32" tires with 3.73 gears while weighing almost 5K pounds.

I have 114k on my' 99 Z71. The only things that has been done to it is a cold air intake and new spark plugs. I'll stay with it as long as it stays with me. I've had several offers to sell it but it ain't gonna happen.

Girl friends rcsb 2006 z71 has 287k and burns no oil has been through 1 tranny and 1 diff mind you its get pounded the **** out of during winter months too. its a tuff lil truck no regrets buying it either.
