Talking Gm Part #anyone?

ok guys me and bigredexpress have offered up our services since both of us work at GM... all we ask is if the mods can make this a sticky so that people will know to ask...

also please have your vin code, or vin code for the vehicle you need parts for if possible.

now if you are looking for parts for a different year it cn still be found... it will just make finding stock parts for "your" vehicle easier for us to find.

Okay a question for you GM guys then. Can 5.3 dished pistons be swapped for 4.8 flat tops pistons easily? is it a basic plug and play thing? They have the same bore size so they should swap right over right? Im asking because the idea has been tossed around by a few board members before and I am wondering if it is really possible and if it is then where can I get some 4.8 pistons and rings.
