Default Extreme rotten egg/sulfer smell.

Truck details.
06 silvy, 5.3.
Bone stock engine.
Specter cai.
Speed eng headers, catless y pipe, 3" to a simple super trush chamber muffler, dumped with a 30* befor and towards rear passenger tire.
Semi fresh Ngk tr6 plugs, oem wires.
Clean air filter,TB and maf.
Street tuned by smitty lsx here in houston, very agressive tune, used a aem wideband on 93 on a 90* air temp night.

Have not run a log on it, or a elm obd2 scanner to check 02 sensors.
Will be checking header primarys temps and 02 feedback tonight if possible.

Recently i noticed at idle and very slow cruise across parking lots a very strong oder.
Rotten egg or sulfur.
I also noticed a exhaust backfire during start up of a cold engine. Its not hardcore but is a noticable pop.

Truck idles fine, has alil shake, but always has since the tune.
Power is fine, i do get a hesitation or bog under various conditions when i mas the pedal hard to get out in traffic. Its completely random tho and cannot be reliably reproduced, combine that with having hell geting my tuner to the house. Its next to impossible to log this truck, much less drive around log enough to make the engine bog.

I know you guys are going to want a log file, i will do my best to get one.
But for now. Toss me ideas as to what could be causing this extreme sulfer smell.
Im guessing, leaky injector or dead plug, thus tossing large amount of fuel in the exhaust, which could also explain my pop during cold startup.

Whats the hive think?

Hahaha!!

Your truck will run rich for about a couple minutes when its dead cold to get it to operating temp as quick as possible. I think (without a log its hard to guess) he eother has to much timing in it in the morning or has its super rich.
Hows your MPG afterwardd? If it decrease a ton, then hes just dumping fuel into it. I actually gained MPG (driving nice) around town and highway.

No matter what, its going to have a nasty smell for no cats. Sometimes it could smell like nasty sulfur but at that point nothing you can do but add a cat/cats.

This smell has just started in the last month, the mods and tune have been on for over a year.

maybe 5 tanks ago, I dumped a full bottle of lucas into a 1/4 tank.
TB is clean, I remove and clean it every oil change. Its never very bad, just alil build up around where the blade closes on ID of TB body.
Luckily my engine doesn't drink oil like a lot of others do.

I was not able to get hands on a scanner or temp gun last night, should be able to tonight.

Found my sulfer smell.
My second battery was 105* surface temp. Low on water and burning up.
It was sending raw battery stank directly into fresh air vent. Thats why it smelled so strong, at idle and slow cruise.

Temp gun showed cyl 6 and 8 egt to be over 300* 1" feom header flange.
Gonna pit a steam vent back there and T it into front vent. Will bring the temps down for those cylinders.
