I found the kit (with air dam, lights, relay, switch) at my local dealer for $225 when I was asking about buying the fog lights... I thought is was a steal!

It all worked when I hooked it up, I didn't have to have the BCM reprogrammed.

I would either check with your local dealer, or I think SDPC, one of our sponsers, offers a kit for the older front end that does not include the valence.

The install went very smooth and easy. I was very impressed that the kit came with everything.....bolts, nuts, switch, harness, clips, everything. I would suggest getting a kit if you like the factory lamps. The price tag is very reasonable considering everything.
Oddly enough gmaccessories-direct.com claims 17802547 comes with a "dark grey fascia". Has anybody ordered this kit online from gmparts direct or something similar online? I'm probably better off going to a local dealership where i can check out the kit before buying it. IMOP grey does not match anything on the front of the truck so i'd rather have black.

Yes, the dealer would be the best place to check one out before buying it. It's very hard to tell the difference between the upper bumper pad and the lower fascia on mine. They might call it dark grey, but it looks black in just about every light on mine. Good luck.

I installed my 06 kit tonight at it looks great. The valence is the same color black as the upper bumper pad. The fogs add almost double the amout of light output, plus it looks really good at night. I picked up the kit for just a hair under 190 at a local dealer.

I'll try and get some pictures in the day/night soon. btw, it took an hr or less to install the whole kit with help from my roommate.

Well I had purchased the light kit off of Ebay 2+ years ago and have since installed it. Well, I finally got around to taking it in to chevy and having them reporgram the BCM to make them work. They work O.K. they are not very bright at all. And I only paid the dealer 47 bucks to do it??

Now my question is this. Anyone know of a way to have the fog lights come on by themselves without having to turn the headlights on??? I tried the trick that works in my wifes '07 Tacoma where you "jump" a power wire to the foglamp relay to make them come on whenever the truck is running and the switch is turned on. But that doesn't work, I have tried all four prongs on the relay to an ignition only fuse, and nothing??

Anyone??
