Yes, he specifically said to use the regular cab rotors (1" thick). Those rotors are available on RockAuto. They are the "non F44" rotors.

Just bought everything on rock auto. I bought all ACDelco part numbers. For both rotors, calipers and a brake pad kit, it came out to $149 before shipping.

So now the problem I have is I have to wait for the damn parts to get here before I can start any kind of mock up I might run down to Carquest tomorrow and get a caliper and rotor if they let me return it.

thought ya'll moved passed it and felt I was hijacking. That one link already had a bolt in kit just used different rotor and caliper and you already bought your parts.

here is it is:

have to search the 4x4 forums to get what ya'll and me included are looking to do. Note I haven't done this yet and exploring my options too.

there are two different OBS rotors. 1" thick and 1.25 thick.

here is a direct Bolton for you 03+ guys
2620SS

Bolton for 88-98 axles
2DiffAxles6Lug
3" is 10 bolt 5" is 14 bolt

The 88-98 kit clearly states 15" or larger wheel but the 02 later doesn't. Would have to email them to clarify.

Search through all the kit they supply to see what calipers they are using.

Basically theirs and other kits usually marketed for the 4x4 guys use two different bolt to bolt spacing sizes for the caliper. 5.5" and 7" bolt centers.

See these weld on brackets Afco 40121 and Afco 40120

Thinking for the 99+ 10 bolt kit the current backing plate flange may need to be removed with the weld on brackets.

I'm digging these specifically the 3.25" 9" ones for my 14 bolt.
Weld on Disc Brake Brackets - RuffStuff Specialties

Notice the type of caliper used is determined by the size rotor used.

11.75 and 12.5 rotors are the option.

For the Bolton kit above it looks like for their 11.5625 rotor they use 5.25" bolt spacing calipers. and for 12.5" rotors the 7" calipers.

The 11.5" rotor will obviously allow more room for a 15" rim. I have seen the 7" caliper used in diy apps with the 11.5" rotors.

Example thread read whole thing.
D44 Rear Disc Brake installation (weld on) - Binder Planet Forums

Another good read for the caliper info.
BillaVista.com-14-Bolt Disc Brakes V2 Tech Article by BillaVista

My measurements tell me that the OBS rotors are the ticket. The 1" rotors would use the 5.25" calipers and the 1.25" rotors would use the 7' calipers. Just have to determine which way would suit me best.

No not hijacking at all. That is why I made this thread. Gives everyone who does this down the road a bunch of options for making it happen.

I went and bought a dust shield to take the axle flange dimensions from. Sketched it out on some paper so I wouldn't forget them. I'll take this home tonight and start drawing. My buddy called me this morning and said he has access to a bunch of 1/2" and 3/8" steel and aluminum plates that we can get this rolling with. I'd be interested to see if 1/2" aluminum would work for what we're doing. Should shave a little bit of weight off but not sure if it would be worth it.

Little update. Got the drawing done for the first test piece. I'll have it over to my buddy by the end of the day. He said he would go home and start working on a fixture and program to run the CNC. We decided to make the test part out of aluminum for mock up. So I'm not sure when he can have it cut and ready to go but should be real soon.

I'm still trying to figure out what thread the caliper bolts are.. I think they are M11x1.5 but i'm not sure. Anyone know?

Got all my parts in today. Yesterday I got an M11-1.5 tap in as well. Went out back and tapped a piece of wood and it looks like that is the correct thread for the caliper bolts. So I talk to my machinist and looks like he is trying to get the prototype ready for me to pick up this weekend. So early next week I'll take the rear apart and see if the bracket works out or not. I'm kind of worried about the bolt holes for the caliper not lining up perfect and allowing the caliper to float like it should be we shall see.
