Default 06 Silverado Headlights shake, vibrate, and are just loose

I have bought Gm partsdirect replacement headlight brackets and locking pins, and I have factory housing headlights, but my headlightss are just loose. Every time I hit a bump or anything my light pattern bounces around.

I have searched for some kind of smart fix and I can't find anything, Surely somebody has fixed this problem.

What have you guys done to fix this problem?

Can you install rubber weather stripping on the bottom of the headlights?

Like is there something directly under the headlight that can be used as like a bumper between the weather stripping and the headlight to stop the bounce?

It's how many guys in the grand prix community do it with headlights, weather stripping between the headlight and the edge of the bumper.

I could probably squeeze some of that in there on the bottom and sides of the lights. I wish GM would have made these light brackets out of steel.

These are genuine GM parts? Same with head lamps?

Yes sir. The locking pins are super tight. The mounting brackets seems flimsy as hell though. I bought them from gmpartsdirect though. I need to feel someone else trucks and compare.

What about the head lights? Are they new or original?

They are GM to my knowledge. I have owned a brand new pair of TYC and put them beside these and these were 100x better quality than TYC. Both pairs moved up and down. I have tried aftermarket lights and brackets and factory lights and brackets. No luck

Hmmm. I have never had an issue with the OEM parts.

I feel like the 100% original mounting brackets that came off my truck were rock hard. All the replacements I buy are soft and flexible. I think I will try finding some brackets in the salvage yard.
