Default 06 Avalanche aluminum 5.3 cam springs, lifters etc..

06 LT 4x4 Avalanche with 3" keys not even halfway up 2" coil spacers on back. New shocks not suspension lift with 35x12.50 17s
not really sure what my stock gears are but I have cold air intake cat delete straight pipes to flow Super 40 series single in single out and has my own custom tip and tuned which gives with an even better sound but it's set to where pretty much all my power and advantage is from a dig or 10 to 20 or 30 roll but i want more plus my top end Is slow gain. But it'll reach 140 eventually lol still gets good gas mileage too. Wondering which cam setup I should get for my situation and I already have to put a new set of lifters in. But what all suggestions would y'all have. Looking towards a sleeper type 4x4. I'm trying to get my parts ordered within a week or two tops.

Check out the RPO codes in your glove box for your rear end and gears. You could throw in a TruTrac and 4.10's. As for a cam, any of the BTR truck cams will work out well. Stick with a stage 1 or stage 2 if you want to run your stock stall. Those cams only require swapping valve springs to blue ones since they are low lift. Should be a pretty noticeable power increase. I have a BTR stage 4 truck cam with a TruTrac and 4.10's. I love it. I also have a 3500 stall though. Might look into getting a converter as well. Not hard to swap and will definitely help with power goals.

Kyle.

Forgot to add about the lifters. LS7 is your option. They are the only ones you can buy now. Would require a .050 shorter pushrod. While your in there swap out those lifter trays for ls2 ones. Add MLS head gaskets and be done.

Well I was told just recently by a few locals that I have known for years and built drag cars/trucks. They recommend the BTR stage 3 truck cam. And a 2600 to 3200 stall. Said depends really if u want a bigger converter but 2800 or 3000 would be best. So if I got the stage 3 what springs, lifters lifter trays etc would fit and interchange. Getting the head gaskets are a must of course and I was going to get a new oil pump to go with it all. Figured the pump is wearing out since it started the lifter ticking. Motor flushed it and put 10w 30 instead of 5w 30 helped a lot. I asked someone if I could get a corvette servo for my 4l60e locally and said that I'd be better off ordering one. someone mentioned the egr/Evap delete On intake? Does that even help. Sorry I have a lot of questions and may seem naive but mainly wanting to be semi cautious with my motor and block Lol

Just get some ls6 blue springs. They are cheap. Keep your lifter trays if they are fine. If not go ahead and install new ones. As for an oil pump, get an ls6 ported one. It will flow more. For the corvette servo.....they are plenty of write ups on this site.

06 shouldn't have egr, leave the evap alone, it's not hurting anything.
I just installed tsp stage 3 high lift truck cam. Very nice cam and only had to do Springs and pushrods which you have to change anyway. It put down 300 whp in second with heavy 33s, runs really good but could use a 3000 stall to get the heavy basterd off her *** lol.
if I was to do it again I prolly would just swap in a lq4 and build from there.

Default MLS head gaskets

When it comes to choosing MLS head gaskets get the 6 bolt right? Also the hickness of the gaskets. Should I get .040 .051 or .060?

You have 4 bolts per cylinder. Stock is .051. Grab you some ls1 GM MLS gaskets. Cheap on Amazon.
