Built 4l80e jakes d3 brake southeast MI
I have a fresh 4l80e level 5, with a billet input, billet intermediate and Jakes performance D3 transbrake. Only had dyno pulls for tuning in it after a fresh rebuild, this trans is fresh!!.
Decided to change the converter before making passes, now I'm swapping the whole trans. Everything works as it should!
Only reason for selling is I bought a fully built th400 I couldn't pass on and it's only a drag truck, don't drive on road. Don't need a 80. I'm taking a video this afternoon to show movement through all gears and shifting before removing the trans, just for extra assurance for buyer.

Sorry if that sounded misleading fellas, it is not built by Jake's. HOWEVER... It was done by a well known local converter builder who is in close with Jake and speaks to him regularly. We all had a phone conference with Jake when I was in his shop, talking over some tips of the trade with this brake as well as the rest of the trans. Buyer can verify with Jake that the guy who put this trans together is LEGIT! Between the ideals of the two of them, this thing is done 100% right!
The transmission held 1185 rwhp with no problem!!! :-)
I took some videos last night... One of it shifting through all of the gears on the street, going into reverse and coming up on the brake. Everything working as it should. I even took a clip of it getting up to operating temperatures 175-180 and then my trans fan coming on and taking it down to 165-160 lol this thing never got hot and has not been abused except for a few dyno pulls; nothing compared to a lot of street or strip abuse.
Call or text me with any questions. This is going to be a killer deal for someone. I'm going to be pulling it this week as I have already sold the converter. It will be ready to ship out soon.

To be clear...the trans was never built by Jakes, niether originally or after the freshen up??

This is a good deal, I have receipts for the build documenting what was done, receipt for the Jakes D3 brake, videos showing it works, videos showing it shifts into and out of all gears properly, videos showing the brake works, even a little bump box action.
Its a level 5 4L80E with a Jakes D3 Brake, what more would you like to know?? Just tell me and ill get you the info lol thanks for looking.
