Default Valve Cover Height

For you guys that are running higher lift cams, what type of valve covers are you running? Stock, valve cover spacers, or aftermarket taller valve covers? I see valve cover spacers are damn near the same price as taller aftermarket covers, and kind of skeptical of them leaking. Thx in advance.

Plenty of clearance with LS valve covers. You can run roller rockers under the stock covers.

Don't. Damn near everyone will tell you to stick with stockers and the trunion upgrade. Plenty of trucks making great power using stock rockers.

thats what i was originally gonna do. that upgrade is only like 130 bucks. but figured it would be less stress on the valve stems going with a roller rocker. that upgrade requires them to be pressed it right?

Yea, they have to be pressed in. You can do it yourself with a bench vise. There is a youtube video on how to do it.

Or pay someone at a shop a few bucks to do it.
