transmission cooler lines stainless or carbon steel?

also i understand that the quick connect fittings on the end of the stock cooler lines are not as strong as a an fitting. and not really, unless there is a heat dissipation advantage because of the whole metal vs rubber thing. but in theory , in my head atleast, that a complete steel line with no rubber connections in the middle or ends would handle more pressure and out last a ss rubber hose. granted the steel has a coating to prevent rust

There's not that much pressure on the cooler lines unless you're running a cooler with too much restriction. Blowing one out means you have bigger problems.
I run slip-fit rubber lines over the tubes, just used small band clamps and cut traction rings in the tube ends so the hose couldn't slip off. It's not had any issues for 2 years.

still enough to blow out a side of a hydraulic hose.. what i think that happened, was that the inside of the hose got a small tear in it from the flare i did. then after a couple full throttle runs it finally gave. didnt last but a couple hours till i took it off again, cut and reflared and made sure it slipped on easier and not sharp edges. hopefully it will last till i get it professionally done later this week

I ran cheap parts store rubber hoses on one truck that's 8 years old and never had an issue. I have steel braided hoses on my new truck with an fittings.. If you blow one of those off, you've got some serious problems that's not the hoses fault.
Yes steel and stainless steel are better but are hugely overkill.
