Default transmission cooler lines stainless or carbon steel?

Why not just flare and compression fitting? Welding (especially TIG) small diameter tubing is just a blockage waiting to occur.

You'd need a high end induction welder to pull this off cleanly.

ive read that they leak and are not that great of a way for high pressure lines

did it today and just cut the passenger side line , flared it and used hose and a clamps. awesome till the hose blew a hole in the side of it next to the flare. i must have had a sharp point on it and thats what cut it from the inside. after that glory of ATF on the underside of my truck im going to order another steel line and get that tigged up so i dont have to deal with that **** again

I used braided lines and AN fittings there is a complete list of what's need somewhere on the forum.

i dont want another blow out because of the rubber hoses, stainless steel or not. theyre inferior in strength to a solid steel tube. but the only advantage is routeing ss lines is it takes a 1/8 of the time it takes to bend one up

That's a ridiculous reason not to use braided hose IMO.
