That's a pretty big cam, do you plan to use a stall converter at all??

That cam was tailored for a lighter vehicle. It would be a turd down low. You'd need more gear and a looser converter to get the most out of it. A TSP 228R, EPS stg 3 truck cam, or something similar would better suit your application. JMHO

What if I switched my stall to a 3200 & the 4.11 gears give pretty high rpms at low speeds for 30 rolls also at 60s

With that cam and a 5.3 you will be wasting power because you wont be spinning it high enough to take advantage of the power curve. Something a bit smaller is actually going to be faster unless you run a big stall and spin it to 7k. (Even at that I bet the HP peak is beyond 7K, at that RPM more things will choke it up) You will not be moving enough air to need a cam that big in a 5.3

I would stay under a 228/228 with 112 or 114 lsa. Much bigger you would need longtubes, ported intake, ported heads and so on to benefit. Usually under 112 LSA it is hard to pass smog. The TSP 228/228 .600/.600 112 is a great cam and I ran that in my 04 Z06 and pulls hard past 6500RPM. Also the TSP228R works perfect with a 3400-3800 stall.

Do you daily this?
Do you have smog limitations?
What are your other mods?
