Default Thermostat for 6 liter
Need to know what part number to run a 170 or 175* thermostat in my 2004 3/4 ton. I see housings with a T stat like my older style and ordered one before that was just the T stat and wouldn't work.

Need a part number to go off of.

Thanks in advance for any heads up.

keep in mind you need to have your fans tuned for your thermostat to work properly

It's mechanical but going with dial fans that will come on when I tune them to.

Also i think you need to change the tune so that you dont run too rich. Wont come out of closed loop i think?

Sorry. You think wrong.

OP, your 2004 should use the separate T-stat and housing style. I used the 160* SLP branded one sold on Amazon in my 04.

Or go on too Rock Auto and look it up... They will give you the Factory AC delco part number and what the opening heat range is. Sometimes there is even a picture of the actual part.
