switching from tbi to fuel injection on a 454..
hello i have a 95 silverado tow truck with 454 tbi and want better fuel economy , would switching to a fuel injection manifold from a newer 2000 vortec 454 help out with gas ? if so how hard is it to do?

Nope, those two engines are pretty different. I don't even know if the ports on the heads match in order for you to use the newer intake. You would also have a battle with the PCM and wiring.
Not much you can honestly do for a noticeable MPG gain in a 454-powered tow truck. Big engine, heavy truck. Just be sure it's in top state of tune with quality parts and that your tires are always kept properly aired up.
