Had the same thing happen to me when I installed my turbo. Checked everything. Couldn't find the problem. Tore apart block and found 7 of 8 rods bent. Those powder metal rods are junk. Never went over 4psi. Now it's honed and forged 416ci. Good luck with yours. Hopefully it's something inexpensive.
Piston slap - not my pic but this is what my rods looked like.

Tune and fuel are critical when it comes to boosted motors.

The rods are well documented to hold at least 700 rwhp. In fact, I'm still running on a stock bottom end for about 2.5 years boosted and many people make much more than me and go faster. Sounds to me like you had a bunk tune.

164mph@3400lbs
unless its a weak rod then stick around 750rwhp max for saftey

Just wanna know what's wrong and why so it doesn't happen again when I rebuild it. If it was just the tune that's fine I can live with that I had an appointment for a dyno tune and yes I probably should of just waited to drive it until after that I use see a lot of people using the bb tune and it working fine. I do lap percolate all the input. I'm pulling the head next week so I will see then how much I gotta do to fix it.
