Thank you for the comments and pictures. We have had a few questions concerning the same issue from other customers. No one ever seems to believe us either lol. They think we're just making an excuse for our headers. Now we have some where to refer customers too. Thanks again..

yes and I was actually one of those persons :/. I am/was inexperienced when it comes to motor mounts and they 'looked fine' to me without doing any tests. from the condition of my passenger motor mount it would have been very obvious if i did any testing of the motor mount (hold brake and rev engine) . i think i would have clearly seen the engine jerk side to side. I will try to get some pictures of the rest of the before/after pictures once i get under the truck again.

How about your 1-7/8" LT headers for 99-06?

Here are mine on a 2002 Tahoe 4x4 5.3 with brand new motor mounts:

Looks like a fitment issue to me!

Wish I had pics.
I had their 4WD 1 7/8" headers on my SS and had no issues aside from the roughness of getting em in there.

I just ordered a header kit for my truck. Hope they fit well. I'm a chassis builder by trade and can fix/weld anything so mods wouldn't be a problem but hope I don't have to.

Sell those and get new set, coat and wrap them, now that you know they fit.
Wonder if there is anyway to repair them.
Maybe seal them up, heat that area of the peimary, heat it up and pressurize the pipe.. Maybe it will push the dent out..
Wouldnt be overly worried about that primary there is a thread on here about a video, where they hook a sledge hammer to the primaries and actually increased dyno numbers of the engine....

I am finally going to get around to installing mine in the next week or two. (I think I have had them over a year) I bought brand new GM engine mounts to avoid any issues. I feel that new mounts are key to them fitting properly, my personal truck is 15+ years old and has 256K miles on it. Going to weld V-bands on mine, I have never been a fan of band clamps on that connection.
