Default Speed Daddy headers.

Just a post about the headers I bought off Ebay from Speed Daddy/DNA. It's their long tube with the piping to tie into my OEM exhaust. I've been reading lots of stories about people having problems with headers not fitting right due to worn out engine mounts and more but I have to say I was completely impressed with this kit. My truck is a 2000 GMC. It has 247,000 miles on it and the mounts are original. The headers bolted on without a hitch and even the piping tying into the OEM exhaust fit almost perfectly. Only at the flange where it bolts to the OEM exhaust was the fit just a little off but not enough to cause a leak or any other issues. I would recommend this kit.

Fitment and plug area looks better than my Pacesetters did. Did the studs come with the kit? They looks stainless as well.

Under body of your truck looks very good for one that has 250k on it!

Headers look good and fit good too... That whole worn out motor mounts thing is COMPLETE bullshit. I have never seen a truck with even 300k+ miles alter the engines position so much that long tube headers have an interference issue unless the headers themselves were designed wrong from the beginning. My 01 Silverado is a perfect example. Was a ranch truck for 200k miles of its life and was in no way shape or form really taken care of other then reg maint. Put headers on it a few weeks back and they fit great no issue at all. Anyways headers look good, those stainless?

Kinda wondering whats going to happen when the nounts start wearing out again, ive got a set of engine miunts because i realized mine are wore out, rubber bulging out and starting to separate.... Notto mention its a steel frane there are going to be slight variances from truck to truck that need to be factored in....

They are stainless headers and the studs are stainless ARP's. A bit pricey but worth it IMO. I'm so far very happy with this header kit. I've owned this truck since new and haven't done anything special to the underside. It's always just stayed pretty clean.
