That cam is huge for a camaro which weighs a lot less than your truck. In a big heavy truck like yours it will be a dog. I would have Kip from cam motion or Martin from Smallwood racing spec you a cam for your setup. And you have a 5.3. I don't even think that cam would have enough ptv clearance.

Thanks Gagliano7. I have another question. I'm thinking of getting a core short block 6.0L now someone told me that if you put 5.3L heads on a 6.0L it moves the comp ratio to like 11.0 to 1 is this even close and will the 5.3L heads work on a 6.0L?

Btr stage 3 truck cam 218/224 552/552. I picked up 51 hp already having long tubes,ypipe, and cat back with this cam. Pulls to 6000 easy, I shift at 6200

The 5.3 heads will work and it will bump the compression up, because the combustion chambers are smaller..... But you may want to look into some bigger valves in the 5.3 heads too....

btr has that same profile on a 113+3 does the +3 mean 116? and im going to spray this engine up to 200 hp do you think 113 is enough? thats why i thought 115
