Silverado SS headers/mid pipes question
#21
Who did you buy from and how much were they? I'm so sick of my crappy headers banging the frame rails. I was about to buy a set of Kooks with the catted mid pipe, but I know ARH are equally as good. I've heard the Kooks require you to reroute the starter cable. Anything like that with the ARH?
Are these 1 3/4?

Launching!
I run Stainless Works long tubes and ORY and they fit like a glove. Installed them by myself without drama. Pricey though, thinking like 1300 or so. Mine are 1 3/4" with 2 1/2" collectors and y pipe.

And the Kooks with a catted mid pipe, are cheaper. Free shiiping from summit. 1 7/8 headers and the catted mid pipe comes to $1550. ARH website says $1650 plus shipping. Just curious if guys are finding them cheaper through sponsors...

I got my ARH setup from Tony (NORCALSS) at TBSSowners .com 1350 picked up because I'm local to SF, Cali. I think he sells them 1450 shipped. Mine are 1 3/4" with catless mid pipes.

Update... so i found a guy local to me on craigslist selling a stock SS catback exhaust. I picked it up for 100 bucks! I obviously had to cut it down to size to make it work for my single cab. I wanted to keep the exhaust as "bolt on" as possible with minimal exhaust work. So i took the opportunity to experiment with it. I also bought the Silverado SS mid pipe hanger/bracket that bolts to the side of the trans. Need to finish welding up the muffler, hopefully tomorrow.
