Good thing you have a gasket in there to seal any leaks...just make the bolt holes large enough to account for the misalignment. This doesn't have to be super hard

Speaking of Kooks, why don't you call kooks to see if their headers clear an 80e? Could be an easier solution.

yep. i'm trying to keep it as simple as possible.

my best case scenario was having a header that was advertised to fit a LS swapped 69 camaro with my motor mounts actually fit. ARH has been selling these headers for years too.

if it wasn't for wanting 2" primaries with a 3.5" collector i would have ditched this crap a long time ago. i'm limited on my options.

I only mention this for future 69 camaro LS swaps. hopefully someone will see it and get the holley swap kit for the 69 camaro and avoid my headaches. or if they need 2" they can see my solution and go with it.

they only advertise a 1 7/8 with 3" collector option.

Wow, I just found this thread. Who have you been dealing with at ARH? I can't believe Nick didn't take this opportunity to improve his product.

I think his name was phil. he was very nice and actually picked up the phone on a Saturday when they were closed. all communication was good up until i told him what i needed to fix the issue (he asked what i need). In the end, I over paid for some new ARH flanges so they would match my current nice looking flanges on the arh headers. once they finally sent them, it looked like they sent something from their scrap pile. warped, and the pair dont even match each other exactly. the machine shop can clean it all up for me. if i wasn't in a corner for 2" primary options i would have sent this all back. i'll make it work and wont recommend arh to anyone.

i haven't purchased anything through ARH. i called them to see if they would be willing to match their retailer's advertised prices and they wouldn't. everything has been done through Colorado speed. they are awesome just like they have been for the last 8 years or so that I've known about them.

i'm off to summit to buy even more parts to make their headers work. they put the 02 sensor bungs on the inside of the collector where an 02 sensor will not fit.

headers have been at the machine shop 3 weeks now...he said he hopes to get them done by the end of this week. I said I was picking up the flanges at the end of this week whether they are done or not. my luck continues LOL.
