Default Rpm idle.

99 silverado 1500, after driving my truck for a while when I put in park it doesn't idle at 500Ish like normal, it will sit and indeed at 1000rpm. Why is that? Is something wrong?

Vaccum leak maybe?

Dirty throttle body and IAC??

I'd maybe take it apart and see if it's caked up with EGR gunk or just really dirty from not being cleaned.

Check the vacuum hose on the fpr as well they like to get brittle and break...have also seen broken wires at tps connector cause idle issues
