Results on Rob Style Jr. Cam in 2007 4.8L
Was thinking of Performance Trucks today as we were wrapping up this build, so figured we would share! This is an '07 4.8L that we had seen several times already, for tuning and parts installs here and there. This time around he had added an upgraded driveshaft, so we were able to dyno it (after having several stock driveshafts rip in half on the dyno our policy is no trucks w/o upgraded DS's).
With a hot air intake, headers, larger converter, 4.11 gears and being previously tuned, it dyno'd 262 rwhp & 258 ft/lbs tq. We've got a cam called our Rob Style Cam - it's very popular with the TBSS/6.0L crowd. Basically we took that and scaled it down for a 4.8L, calling it the Rob Style Jr. Cam. We were after great driveability, a nice lope, and not killing the MPG's, and this fit the bill!
We also added a FAST 102mm intake. After final tuning we netted another 62 rwhp & 37 ft/lbs tq - yielding 324 rwhp & 295 ft/lbs.
This is a really neat truck, super low. He has a lot of work up front to get the suspension sitting right, so there wasn't an easy answer as far as a better cold air intake (currently it's just a small filter off of a couple pieces of tubing from the TB). In the future hopefully we can get the truck again to make a custom intake closer to the fender well version we offer for the TBSS - this truck would really rip then! If we have more time with it next time we'll also reroute the engine harness off of the manifold, which is something we normally do but were on a bit of a deadline.
Here are a couple pics and vids to check out. Also has a build blog - HERE.

Truck drives great! You guys did an awesome job. I am working on the intake now as we threw it together after tubbing the fenders. And I am also looking into lighter wheels. I can't say enough how top notch you guys are.

I did some looking but around here I could not find a complete 6.0 for less than 3k. With lighter wheels and a better CAI, I would be much closer. Thanks by the way! I have been pondering going down another inch or so, but sometimes the roads don't agree with me

It has calspeed lth, off road y pipe, and a single flowmaster super 44, all 3" pipe. I have been debating about going true duals with x pipe and magnaflows. But I really do love the chambered muffler sound.
