Default Question concerning mpg

Hey guys I have a 5.3 with 80k miles I'm going to add a few things to. My plan is a tsp 224 cam, long tubes, 3000 stall, and black bear tune. This truck is gonna be my dd I'm just wanting something that will look good and sound good and if I want to get on it a little it will do it. I'm not trying to run 11s at the track just have a nice ride. So my question is how much difference will I notice in Mpgs?

I was also considering a stock 6.0 with longtubes and a black bear tune.

If you drive the truck with the same acceleration habits, there will likely be no difference in MPGs.

However, if you're doing performance mods, then that means you will want to "get on it", and "feel the power" more often - which will lead to lower MPGs

If you're using more horsepower to move the truck quicker, then you're using more gas.

The higher stalled tq converter will knock down the city driving 1-2 mpg. On the hwy the mpg will remain the same because the tq converter will be locked up.

You're gonna lose some no matter what, bet on that. How much depends on your right foot.

+1, from my personal experience performance and mpgs is very hard to get them to coexist, its that much more tempting to push the pedal with each mod.

Stock I was at 14-16 mpgs right now im 9-12 mpgs :/
