It's ridiculously quiet,it makes less noise than when I had a super 40 and stock truck but it has a nice deep tone but I miss the nasty super 10(minus anything it did over 3000rpm) so Im gonna go get a 44 and a short resonator
well u got a point its gonna sound somewhat different inside the shop but had you gone with a 4x9x14 magnaflow or a 5' or 6" round 14" long, your post would have been way different and youd love it. clearly you told them what u wanted but your definition of loud and theres is very different

There was a post not too long ago where someone one here went with a dual 4inch exhaust and shortened the magnaflow muffler and his sounded pretty damn good but he was also cammed

I hope so, but flowmasters don't have any material inside to burn out so I don't think the sound would change very much if at all

My magnaflow is the largest straight thru flow I could find. I wanted something quiet but meaty at idle and mean at wot. I would say I wish it were louder, but I plan on a much more aggressive setup in the near future. Currently have a Bolton 4.8 vs a planned h/c 6.0 on spray. I want to maintain some sleeper effect. If you want a loud magnaflow you need a different size. You will never think a 14" round magnaflow is too quiet.

See i have a cammed 6.0 and my 44s are bordering on obnoxious, my buddy has one on his stock ccsb 5.3 and its got quite a bit of rumble with no rasp under load but is rather disapointingly quite at idle, when i say his truck is stock i mean cotton filter not even oiled filter element!!!!

Most of the reusable filters are oiled... K&n for example... Spectre etc...point was he hasnt done a damn thing to the truck.... I use a k&n but as soon as i have to clean mine im getting one of their black filter elements, that dont use oil.... I dont like the red filter kinda a sore thumb under my hood at moment!!! Everything else is black, raw aluminum or silver aluminum paint....
