Default Put a magnaflow on from super 10, wheres the power and noise?

Hey guys, I recently put long tubes on my 03 4.8, sounded super nasty and great at idle and low speeds but was super straight pipe sounding and raspy if I touched the gas at all but it pulled like a **** from a stop if I had the windows up and didn't have to deal with the drone(it sounded pretty good with the windows up as well cutting away the raspiness), went to a muffler shop today and tried out a super 44 (just as bad as a super 10 and a super 40(not as bad but quiet) and a magnaflow, I decided to try out the magnaflow but it doesn't pull like it did with my older setup(maybe a placebo effect) I'm pretty sure LS motor like back pressure but a super 10 can't make too much anyway with how short it is, and it also ended up being super quiet at idle and all around really, but I read it has to be broken in since it has ascoustic material in it.
Should I give the muffler a few hundred miles for it to louder and open up a bit or go get something else?

Ive heard magnaflows after being"broken in" and have not been impressed, sounded like a stock muffler with bit more volume... I ended up buying a gibson system expecting it to be somewhat decent sounding, id have been better off with a stock muffler, ended up swapping the muffler for a pair of 44 series flowmaster

My magnaflow is for sure not quiet or raspy. My truck woke up a ton vs the stock muffler. Flow masters are just noise makers.

I'm thinking about having them chop up the cats from my original y pipe, welding one in line before the muffler and putting the 10 or a 44 back on and hope the cat helps as a resonator because I loved the way the 10 sounded down low. I also wanted to try the bullet style mufflers like a carven R or Jones turbine

Noise makers can be fun though, i personally like flowmasters, which is what it comes down to personal preference

How long have you had your magnaflow? And also I'm not comparing it to a stock muffler and exhaust, I have long tubes and a single in dual out catback. I know mufflers rarely have performance differences but it just feels like I've lost a ton of my low end with the magnaflow(and have a 4.8 I need all the low end I can get) vs my super 10 but I'm just really hoping its a placebo effect
