Default Pushrod Length

Alight, like I've said before I'm getting the last parts needed for my build, but I didn't plan on doing a head swap when I ordered my cam and went ahead an ordered the standard 7.400 pushrods, my question is now that I am swapping heads with 243s and milling them .030, I've read that the pushrods need to be 7.375 now and I know the easiest way to check this is with a pushrod length checker only problem I run into is I'm trying to do my build in a matter of days (over a weekend) and don't want to get in and find that the 7.400 pushrods won't work, so I ask how sure is it that when milling the 243s .030 for a LM7 you need a 7.375 pushrod.

Thanks.

Simple math does dictate that you should use a 7.375" but that is not always the case due to varying block deck heights from GM factory blocks. Of course, it is always best to use a pushrod length checker but in your situation you might just want to buy a couple of sets in different lengths. That way you have them there just in case. Let me know if you wanna do something like that and as long as the pushrods have not been installed, I will be glad to take them back and refund you for whichever set(s) you did not use.

Right on, I think that's what I'll end up doing is ordering a set of 7.375 pushrods and I'll send back whatever set I don't use.

That will work. Just shoot me a PM or give me a call since I am aware of the situation.

Like Beau mentioned have a few on hand. I would still get a length checker and check with that, then pick the length you will use and return the rest. Pretty awesome that he's willing to take the others back.
