proper cleaning for 2003 newer style all electric throttle body?
#12
I'm going to try to clean both sides as best as I can and hope it works but I doubt it's anything intake manifold related, I had the gasket replaced 10,000 miles ago along with the knock sensors

what we used to do at the gm dealer I worked for was open it manually spray bg plenum cleaner in there. don't drown it with the whole can obviously. and then with the tech 2 do an idle relearn. it slips my mind which years had that feature and which didn't. but to my knowledge they didn't have iacs the idle was controlled through the tac motor asnd would basically keep the throttle plate cracked slightly. we had to replace a lot of throttle bodies for the issue though. and without being able to do the relearn procedure through the scantool provided it is an available procedure for your application it may not do you any good even after your clean it until it can be relearn good luck man hope that helps you.

Thats the hole, and he is wrong. Observe.
Wide open hole, no valve or anything. This is your fresh air source for your PCV system, it has its own chamber in the manifold that it going into then into the hose from there to the valve cover. Idle is controlled by the blade. These pics are from my stock intake and TB, I just took them.
TB part number for good measure.

I did some more research and found out there might be a pcm update for this after you clean it. there doesn't appear for the year you have to be an idle relearn procedure that I can find the closest thing you can do its globally reset it fancy term for disconnect battery for 10 mins so if you get it all done and it doesn't help there is probably a pcm update to correct it theres a tsb for that.
