I like some of the 4.8 boosted truck owners numbers. Not sure how well a boosted 4.8 would compare to a N/A mild build 6.0 and how they would be in comparison to pulling a boat. I would imagine the 6.0 would do a better job but I don't pull it far and who wouldn't want to see a turbo under the hood making the same or more than a 6.0 for the same price.

Just all depends on what you are after and your budget allows. 6.0 go for years and and years no worries. Turbo initial investment and time is up there and guess it's longeivity depends on motor build the amount of boost and your right foot. Each has their place only reason I've never played with turbos is expense and fab and I know my foot will send the bitch or me to heaven one or the other will make a one way trip.

Well budget hasn't been set in stone and the budget wouldn't feel so painful if I bought a piece here and there. I figure a 6.0 swap would cost the same per HP numbers produced on a 4.8/5.3.

Turbos just look and sound so much cooler to me :-)

Budget......I figure I would spend at least $3500 on a turbo kit from somewhere like CS or Trick Turbo. $3500 for a mildly built 4L80E from a reputable performance shop. $1500+for all the miscellaneous stuff to make sure the motor is going to be very reliable with Trunion kit, springs, cam, LS7 lifters, Tune, oil pump, head studs and LS9 head gasket, and problably more since I don't know exactly what I need or don't need.
