Default Newb HP guestimates

Very unlike me to make a thread like this, but the wonder bug has got me.

I am in the middle of a mild 6.0 build for my 03 ECSB. Truck already has a 4l80e swapped in.

Engine consists of:
Flat top pistons .030" over bore (hypereutectic cast)
LQ9 floating rods
TSP224R cam (224/224, .600"/.600", 112LSA)
Brand new crank
Stock (unported) 799 heads milled to 63cc with .620 springs
stock truck intake, stock throttle body...ect
If my math is correct, should be about 10.8: compression.

After dyno tuning on stock injectors/pump, what would you say HP numbers would be?
Also hp numbers with 60# injectors and a walbro 450lph pump?
Ran on pump gas.

I'd like it to be around 420whp, but I'm just not sure it's going to do it without every other "bolt on" possible.

Id guess somewhere around in the 360-380 range. The bigger injectors and fuel pump aren't really going to affect your HP numbers with that naturally aspirated setup you shouldn't be needing that much fuel. I'm no expert and I'm sure one of these other guys could tell you more to a T but that's just my .02

I think the stock injectors will run out if they are only like 25-27lbs.

Yea they're stock 5.3 injectors at this time. Something like 25lb/hr.

I think around 375rwhp would be generous. Injectors/fuel pump wont add any power unless one of them is maxed out.

Your waaaaaaaay overkill on the injectors and fuel pump. You won't need anything more than a 42lb at max. In fact a ls2 injector would be just fine. That fuel pump is way overkill as well. Your factory fuel pump will be plenty with your mods. Your basically throwing a cam in there and that's it. Your heads will bump your compression up and flow a bit more but not much. Your factory intake sucks if it's a gen 3 intake.

You can pick up a set of cnc 243 used generally for $1000 used and complete, then throw a tbss/nnbs intake on and a 228 ish cam and you'll break the 400hp mark. Right now as others have said 360-380 and that's at the top.

Doubt I'll do anything else to this motor as far as trying to make power N/A. But even still, 360+whp is a significant bump up from the bone stock 5.3 the truck has now.

I picked up the fuel pump and injectors when I had plans to turbo the 5.3, only reason I mentioned using them on this new engine. I wasn't aware if adding larger injectors would net hp increases on an N/A engine. Good to know.

I'd just see how it dynos without the pump and injectors and if you're fine fuel wise without them on that setup you're going to run just sell them and put the money towards something else you want on the truck maybe some bigger gears or a converter to make up for the sluggish gearing in the 80e. You won't be disappointed it'll run strong

It currently has a Circle D 3200 stall, just their basic converter. I "should" be ok there, for awhile anyways.

I'll run factory fueling and go from there.
