Default need help on pushrods

Ok I'm ordering parts and now I'm stuck. I'm waiting on my 6.0 to come out shop but in meantime I have think I've made a mistake. my question is will it be ok to run 7.4 rods if I mill my 799/243s .30ths and run a stock head gasket. my cam specs are 227/230 .6xx .5×× 113+3. also will be using the ls7 lifters

No, you're better off doing it right the first time, get a push rod length checker tool, measure and order the right rods. This way you will know 100% that they are correct and not chance breaking stuff.

Yeah, the checker tool is easily worth the cost. Taking that into account, people get away with guessing on pushrods because of the large amount of travel in the stock lifters. I'm guilty of this myself, but got the checker eventually to do it right.
