Default Need help ASAP

Well hello everyone thanks for the help in advance . I have a 00 GMC Sierra 5.3 single cab on fbo and cam. Well my engine is giving up (metal shavings a lot). I found for sale a 2006 5.3 Silverado (crew cab) engine for sale would it work on mine( has a wire tb not electric . Thanks guy need this info asap

Swap your intake manifold and throttle body over and it'll be just fine.

Might be other minor differences but the long block should be the same.

The newer engine might have flat top pistons should have better flowing cylinder heads too. A re-tune will be in order if you put the cam in that engine.

i have another question if I put in all the 06 swap with harness pedal how would the emissions work ? Being that the truck is a 2000 and the swap a 2006

You would need alot more than just the engine wiring harness and pedal to make everything work in the older trucks, it's not even worth thinking about doing that.

Just slap your parts on that motor and run it, it's the fastest and most trouble free way to do the swap.
