Default Need advice

I recently got a 02 suburban z71 with 5.3l, runs and drives great. This vehicle is not my everyday driver. I was looking into the ls intake manifold swap as well as the ls cam and valvetrain swap. Has anyone done these? If so what is the best choice ls1 or ls6?

Keep the truck intake, you want to keep the torque that it helps give.

A car intake would put it worse off.

LS1 and LS6 cam are pretty mild and for the cost of them new you could get a better cam that would put out more power in that 5.3.

Having been there and done that.

#1, what is your budget (most important question)

#2 I'm convinced the best mod would be a PD supercharger with otherwise all stock components.

The typical heads/cam/headers deal is nice and all, but in the end you're stuck with a truck that's still slow, noisy, and stinks.

True Story!! However, the new power makes the vehicle a lot more fun to drive.
