Does it really make a diff where you put
the MAF in your air filter tubing in a custom
CAI ?

Size wise yeah it matters but you could have it right after the filter like stock or you could have it further up the intake tubing if you wanted to too.

Just make sure it's not at any bend and has a straight flow of air/tubing before the MAF to get proper readings.

I have a question.... I have the MAF in the stock air box but the 4" tube to the intake. could that make any difference either good or bad?

I believe any modification to the intake would require a tune but I could be wrong. I'm sure the stock setup is what the MAF is setup to read.

yes, you will need to tell the PCM, anytime you
change the size of the air tube, MAF or T/B you need
to change the size in your tune for the right A/F
ratio.HPT has a section to do that.
