Dont fry the starter running 24volts to it.. i dont think you have a pump issue just dont think youre cranking it long enough to get oil up to the pushrods especially with it not cranking at full speed, i have had times even after priming with new everything(pump, lifters, pushrods, bearings, etc) it still took a couple seconds for the lifters to pump up fully after it started up.

I know all about frustartion will builds!! I forgot an oil galley plug in the 6.0 in my 99, the first time i fired it up i lost about 4 qts of oil in about 3 seconds!!

I changed the pump out, cleaned a small amount of trash off the pickup screen from it sitting out, and it is barely pumping any oil out the pressure/cooler port.

i double checked the o-ring and it is fine. No tears or rips.

i am officially at a loss of what to do...

i am going to try to pull the rear panel and check that when they vatted the block, it did nit eat anything out of the back that should be there..

The front plug is in the pic of the front of my engine where the timing cover gasket flares out on the block by the oil pump, the dumbell plug goes basically in same place but in the back of the engine...

Look for Enginetech kit # HK119

They call it a "Headache kit" because its got the stuff in there that will give you a MASSIVE headache trying to locate and get ordered.

The later model engines can only use later model dogbone design, and early model can use latw model design, but dont use an early design on a laye model engine.

http://www.saccitycorvette.com/Billet-BarBell.html

that site has a machines piece that has a tighter late model design and tolerance. Go check out their site for information.

How much is the enginetech kit? I had to get all that stuff from the dealer and spent somewhere around $25-30 for all of it... and the cam retainer bolts came with thread sealant/lock on them...
