Choices for a Good Cruising Cam
Greetings all, its been ages since i've posted here. Anyway after last summer's disaster and the prices of fuel i'm rethinking my truck. I want to return to the stock TC but still run a nice mild cam mostly for freeing up some higher RPM power but mostly for the 1700-2500rpm torque boost.
This is what i was thinking of. Nothing insane in terms of duration or lift. But has a nicer LSA.
Lunati Voodoo #60510
Duration INT/EXH: 212/218
Lift INT/EXH: .531 / .531
LSA Angle: 113
Rated RPM Range: 1,600-6,400
Engine wise, i have a LQ9 with a full exhaust system (LT-headers, Magnaflow Cat's and Corsa Exhaust) So i doubt i will have problems with that cam + OEM TQ.
But i still want some input before i waste a weekend doing a cam swap
Thanks!

Another option along the same lines might be Comp's 216/220 on a 114...can't remember the lift off the top of my head but I think its around .525/530ish. It's a proven performer with a broad powerband and flat torque curve. More duration than the Lunati but a slightly wider LSA.
