Default Lq4 questions

Alright I plan on building a lq4, I wanna run a Holley hi ram and a decent sized but streetable can that is to be determined, a set of 243 heads that have some work done to them, but my main question is, is a hi ram too much intake? And I also plan on throwing on a nitrous throttle body plate system for a 90mm throttle body, I plan on using a Holley 90mm throttle body, I'm not sure on the cam yet but it will be a street/strip truck

Yes, too much for what you are wanting. If you were 400+ CI it would be different. For you, the best setup would be a lsxrt

Holley also has a EFI sniper series sheet metal intake, coming out in December or January. They look pretty sweet and are $450-500. They come in two sizes 102mm and a 90 something. Here's a link, http://www.sho-mespeed.com/index.php...5CoaAkxB8P8HAQ

That intake looks sweet, however it appears to be for rectangular port heads, aren't 243's cathedral port heads??? I guess there are adaptors.... The description was confusing does the intake come with fuel rails or are they separate??

Look into a tbss/gen iv intake too.. Usually a fraction of cost of an lsxrt....

Holley offers it in a rectangular and cathedral design... And I do believe the fuel rails are included. Definitely a nice piece! I think I'm gonna try and get one soon! Can't beat the price! I'm gonna give my dude Mario down at spike performance a call, see what I can get one of these puppies for

Be nice to see what actual benefit it has, like dyno before and after, etc... S.O.P. Dyno is great but, actual numbers would be awesome to see if its actually worth anything

this is a great suggestion! I would spend that $1,000 somewhere else on the motor
