Driving around town I see 2,500 tops. When I'm racing, due to my horribly tall gears, I'm above 4,000 for a longgggg time. When roll racing I generally hit it around 3,500 and pull to 6,000. WHat kind of numbers would I be expecting out of this?

What kind of numbers out of the smaller cams y'all have mentioned. I just want to be able to make some significan numbers as well, not just shift my power band around. However, what ever will get me moving the best is the winner..

This. Power under the curve is where it's at. Heavy vehicle = needs lots of torque to get it moving.

JMHO - I always prefer to er on the small side with a camshaft vs. too big.

Are there any specific Lift numbers I need to be checking for? Any certain LSA or advance?

You need something matched up with the rest of your combination. Take everything into consideration... weight, gearing, tire height, converter, exhaust system, intake tract, etc.

I'd suggest getting with one of the vendors that does custom ground cams to discuss your combination and desired goals. You'll get the best results that way. Many of the shelf cams previously mentioned will do the job as well. This board is a wealth of knowledge, and many people have shared their trials and errors.

Thanks for the input! I'll track down the cam pro's and talk to them!
