After that I went for some R&R on the beach.

Bumping this up.
Been a crazy year.
Got married, getting divorced, resigned from my old job, traveled the country twice, and now starting a new career.
Anyway. I got all the machine work done to the block and its here at the house. I ordered the bearings, Clevities off Ebay. They should be here any day.
Also ordered the ev6 injector pigtails for the 07+ intake.
I know Ill need a ton of little stuff as I go.

Im looking at rings right now.
I should be close to some kinda record for slowest build ever right?

Been reading a bit,, looking at
SEALED POWER E921K rings. The block wasn't bored, it was just cleaned up with the bottle brush.

Also, starting a shopping list of all the little things Ill need. Will probably start a WTB ad and if I cant get the junk here, Ill pay retail.
Its things like sensors, coils, dipstick tube, and tons of bolts I am sure I have lost over the past year.

If a mod reads this can you change my title to add *LQ4 build* K? Thanks.

I got my bearings in today and stopped by Lowes to get bolt to hang the block on the engine stand.
I read all over the place to get 4". But those were way to long.

I have to make another trip. Ill get it hung tomorrow or Saturday and start working on it again.
Need to get plastiguage and assembly lube also.

ETA: Bearings are Clevite CB-663P and MS-2199P.

The threads in the block are m10x1.5, i think i used 70mm....you can use something to take up spacer on the back if they are too long.

Thanks man. And you are right. Lowes had like some round spacer sleeves that fit perfect.
I got the engine stand mounted, just need a hand lifting it on the actual stand, if that makes sense.

Any have any suggestions for flex plates? With the setup lined out above you just reuse the stock one? Stock tranny, 4L65E, nothing changed there yet.

I think Circle D makes a nice one. I have a TCI.

Its easier if you attach the spider to the engine first then lift it up with a hoist (or a big friend) and then slide it into the stand.

Thats what I meant, didnt know what it was called. The spider is mounted, just need a hand lifting it. I guess I can break out the cherry picker, but I know it would take about 2 minutes to lift it up. Just need to make come calls and get some beer to trade.
Once I get it mounted I should be able to have the crank in it today, or tomorrow.
Im looking at rings right now. Plan to order those today.

And thanks for following and the input. Ill look into the flex plates now.

I got the motor on the stand so all is good.
It started storming here so I didnt get the crank in.
ETA: Ordered the rings off Ebay Sealed Power Moly ones.

I went out and started digging through the parts I have and found a spring with a blue stripe on it with the timing set. The timing set is a stock 6.0L that I got from a buddy. But it was in a Comp Cams box when I got it from him. I have no idea where the spring goes, if anyone recognizes it...its about the size of a pencil around and 1.5-2" long.
